1. General Rules

1.1 Tournament Eligibility

● Captains of the respective teams MUST join our discord server for updates in this server on the day and time of the tournament, so we can communicate with you.

● For your team to be eligible to compete in WinterCon VII Tournament all of the players must be able to participate in LAN Finals during WinterCon VII. If this is found to be untrue than the team which is unable to show up is disqualified and replaced with a team which have results below disqualified team.

● This is an open tournament without any nationality restriction. The only restriction is the requirement to appear for the LAN Finals in order to proceed in the tournament. Which can be complicated by Covid19 travel restrictions. Administration understands the complexity of the situation and the disqualification will be the only penalty in case of non appearance due to Covd19 travel restrictions.

● All semi-finals and finals players should be available to travel to International Exhibition Center Ķīpsala (Ķīpsalas street 8, Riga) on their own expanse on 5 March for the LAN and finals in case they proceed there. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and replacement with a team of lower placement. In accordance to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia decree 662 - only those players who have active certificates of full vaccination or certificate of being ill Covid-19 within previous 180 days are allowed to play in the LAN finals. Certificate is not required during qualifiers.

1.1.2. Team Eligibility

● After sign ups close and for the duration of the tournament, teams may make roster changes with admin approval. Two players may be added as substitutes.

● Teams must consist of 5 to 7 players.

● On the game day, one roster change may be requested up to one hour before the match start time.

● Team names must not be in any way offensive or racist, and may not be worded in such a way that they may be confused with another organisation (i.e. organisation A’s team call themselves organisation B).

2. Structure and Schedule

2.1. Format - Bo3 (Best of three), single elimination.

Scores should be submitted to Battlefy after the win.

2.2. No Shows & Forfeits.

● Teams are expected to arrive promptly to all games.

● Check-in Will take place 30 minutes before the Tournament game. If one team doesn't have sufficient amount of players(5) after the start time or end of the previous match within first 5 minutes that team loses 1 ban, that gradually expands to 3 lost bans after 15 minutes have passed.

● A default win will be awarded to a team that has 5 players in the game lobby, if their opponents do not have 5 players in the game lobby 20 minutes after the stated start time or end of the previous match.

● If neither team has 5 players in the game lobby within 20 minutes, the team with the most players in the game lobby will be considered the winner. If both teams have the same number of players, the higher seeded team will be considered the winner.

2.3 Results.

All results must be submitted via discord server by the means of a final score window screenshot. Proof of results are required in case of a dispute. Recorded video, Video On Demand and screenshots may be used as evidence for disputes.

Alert an administrator before the start of play for all roster and game settings disputes. Games that have been agreed upon by both teams and have been played out may conclude in staying as the matches final result, regardless of correct or incorrect settings used, at the tournament administrators’ discretion in accordance.

If there is no evidence available to support a claim then the issue will not be taken further.
